From Blueprint to Brew: Marcon set to transform Open Gate Brewery

Diageo appointed Marcon to deliver the refurbishment of the Open Gate Brewery within their World leading tourist attraction – Guinness Storehouse.

The Open Gate Brewery, nestled within the Storehouse, serves as a hub for experimentation and creativity, where Guinness continually pushes the boundaries of brewing excellence.  Visitors are encouraged to explore different flavours and find their prefect brew.  It has become a focal point for beer enthusiasts, drawing them from around the globe to experience the innovative brews crafted within its walls.

Working alongside design team Drinksology, the refurbishment project encompasses both the internal and external spaces of the Open Gate Brewery.  Work will consist of: Installation of glazed screens including steel support structures; structural enhancements; Modification to existing structures; Interior fit out and new exterior infrastructure between the Open Gate Brewery and St James Street.

The refurbishment will create a comfortable, immersive, and captivating environment for visitors to engage with the brewing process, ensuring the Guinness Storehouse remains a beacon for beer enthusiasts and a testament to the enduring legacy of the Guinness brand.   This prestigious appointment underscores our competence and ability to deliver a first-class refurbishment project within this iconic destination for worldwide visitors.
