About Us

Marcon is an award winning museum/heritage fit-out contractor with an in-house specialist joinery workshop.  Operating across the UK and Ireland we have assisted with the opening of many high profile museums, exhibitions and visitor centres. 

 We have successfully managed all elements of a museum/exhibition fit-out – contractor design, general fit out, manufacture and installation of exhibition display structures, bespoke joinery and metalwork, graphics production, AV hardware integration, AV software creation, exhibition specific lighting and display cases.

We have been responsible for the coordination of a range of specialist packages working closely with our supply chain partners and client nominated subcontractors such as showcase manufacturers, graphics, interactives and audio visual.

Our in-house joinery manufacturing facility allows us to control the high quality of our bespoke joinery items.    Our in-house joinery production facility, with the latest cutting edge equipment, differentiates us from our competitors. The ability to control the quality and manufacturing lead times means that we are more responsive and can react quickly to customer demands. 

We have become a benchmark for a number of clients/designers as to how they judge the quality of work from their contractor base.  During the installation stage we will work in conjunction with the client and design team to successfully meet the project completion date.  Our experienced heritage team pride themselves on the quality of finished product and will conduct a thorough commissioning and handover to the client team.

The appointment of Marcon was a key step in the successful delivery of this signature project for the City. Marcon understood and appreciated the historic significance of the building in which the centre was to be housed and the detail to which the designers had gone, to ensure the highest quality finish for every piece across the 18-room exhibition space. Marcon’s management team worked closely with us as designers along with the client and greatly added to a ‘can-do’ delivery team that faced many challenges as the project progressed. Their on-site installation team were helpful, courteous and respectful while the quality of their workmanship befitted the grandeur of the building making the installation process a smooth one for the project management team.

Interpretation Exhibition at Killarney House and Gardens
