Grand Opera House
Project Overview
Marcon were appointed as Principal Fit out contractor for the new exhibition at the Grand Opera House.
This is the first ever permanent exhibition fit out at the Grand Opera House in Belfast, which forms part of the significant restoration and development project.
The Grand Opera House built in 1895 is one of the most magnificent Victorian theatres in Ireland. Its Oriental style is a unique example of the work of leading Victorian theatre architect Frank Matcham and it is the best surviving example of this style of theatre in the UK.
The new exhibition contains a plethora of artefacts, pictures and information panels detailing the history of the Grand Opera House. It will enable visitors to read the fascinating stories of the people who have entertained audiences over the past 125 years.
