As part of the wider Hull Maritime regeneration programme, Hull Maritime Museum underwent a major restoration and redevelopment, transforming the visitor experience within the city’s historic former Dock Offices. The project combined the careful conservation of a significant listed building with the creation of modern exhibition spaces that showcase Hull’s 800-year maritime history.
Marcon was appointed Principal Fit-Out Contractor for the museum’s exhibition spaces, delivering a comprehensive package of specialist fit-out works that brought together traditional craftsmanship and contemporary visitor engagement.
Working within a listed heritage building required close coordination with the wider project team to ensure new interventions complemented and protected the building’s historic character.
