V&A East Museum
V&A East Museum
We were appointed as the Principal fit out Contractor to deliver the new galleries and retail spaces across three floors within this iconic new building.
V&A East Museum in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London celebrates the power of creativity and making to drive change. Developed in collaboration with young people and inspired by the area’s rich heritage, the new galleries form part of a wider curatorial framework that highlights the joy and transformative potential of art, design, and making.
Marcon were responsible for the fit-out, overseeing the intricate design and installation of gallery walls to the precise coordination of exhibition lighting, AV hardware, showcases, graphics and security systems.
As Principal Contractor, we coordinated multiple work packages, ensuring collaboration between the various teams and stakeholders involved in bringing the galleries to life. Our role included handling all technical responsibilities such as drawing coordination, sampling, prototyping, and the creation of “as-built” final drawings.
