We completed the impressive specialist exhibition fit-out that now brings Wales’ largest medieval fortress to life.
The centrepiece is the Great Hall which has been transformed through bespoke wall panelling, and furniture and immersive AV projections, transporting visitors back to the 1320s and recreating the atmosphere of a 14th century royal feast.
New interpretive displays guide visitors through tales of power struggles, betrayals, alliances, and the lives of those who lived within the castle walls – from the formidable Marcher Lord Gilbert de Clare to the visionary Fourth Marquis of Bute.
