Imperial War Museum: Blavatnik Galleries
Project Overview
Marcon were appointed as Principal fit out contractor for the new 10,000 sq ft Blavatnik Art, Film and Photography Galleries located on the 3rd floor within the iconic IMW London.
The new gallery showcases over 300 visual media collections, spanning the First World War to the present day. It is the UK’s first to explore how artists, photographers and filmmakers, document and tell the story of conflict. Within the new gallery there is a Screening Space and Art Box which features contemporary moving-image artwork on a rolling schedule by artists including Omer Fast and Coco Fusco. The Art Box is in the Perspectives and Frontiers Gallery. The Screening Space shows feature length films and documentaries from IWM’s historical collection. It is in the Mind and Body Gallery.
